school even better and I have asked them to do the following in order to help them to achieve this. Make sure teachers help you to learn as much as you possibly can in every lesson by planning to help you reach your personal targets. Plan for more governors to visit you in classes more often. Get all of the people who run the school to use all of the information that they collect about its work when writing plans for the future. You can help by continuing to go to school as often as you can, and by carrying on working hard and behaving so well. Finally, I wish each of you success in the future.

school. Your parents and carers believe that the staff do a good job, and know that you are well cared for and safe. Your teachers and other staff work well as a team, and we are pleased that you respect and like them. We think that your school leaders, especially your headteacher and her deputy, are doing a really good job in managing the school. We have suggested ways in which the school can improve even more. We would like the school leaders to give you an exciting new curriculum; you can help by telling teachers what you are interested in learning about. We also think that you can learn more about other people and cultures in both this country and in other parts of the world. We would finally like your school governors to have sufficient training to help them in the difficult job of managing a school, especially so that they can understand what the school leaders are trying to do to improve your learning. We are very confident that your school will go from

The school’s leaders are doing the right things to move it forward and are clear about what is not yet good enough. They know there is not enough good teaching in Years 1 and 2, and so your progress overall is satisfactory rather than good but this is being addressed.

Your school is a good one. It provides you with a good education. Teachers help you make good progress so that your attainment is average by the end of Year 6. You say you enjoy school and we saw that in your enthusiasm for lessons. Your behaviour is outstanding and your attendance is above average. You have a good understanding of the need to eat healthily and of taking plenty of exercise. There is a good curriculum with a wide range of clubs, activities, visits and visitors that make your work more interesting. The headteacher, teachers and staff look after you exceptionally well. They give those of you who find learning difficult, or who have difficulties, considerable help and support. Those in charge of the school are working hard to help it improve.

Inspection of Bradwell Village School, Milton Keynes, MK13 9AZ
Your school is good because you have teachers and support staff who care for you well and work hard along with the governing body to improve things. Your teachers plan exciting opportunities and understand the things you do well and the things you find more difficult. You are challenged most of the time and you rise to these challenges. You could make even more progress if you work a little more independently, particularly those of you who find things easier. You already reach impressive levels in reading and in mathematics and your continued improvement in writing will secure further success in this area as well. We think that teachers should focus on developing your skills in these areas further. You have an excellent understanding of how to live healthily. You feel safe in school and behaviour is good.

singing, offer opportunities for pupils to develop their skills and confidence beyond the academic curriculum. School leaders make effective use of the pupil premium funding. Additional staffing provides small group and one-to-one tuition for disadvantaged pupils, supporting improvements to reading and mathematics skills. In addition, specialist speech and language assistants support pupils who start school with limited language and communication skills. As a result, disadvantaged pupils gain confidence and can more easily access all aspects of learning. Sports funding is used appropriately and has impacted on pupils’ engagement and participation. The school is part of the Milton Keynes school sports partnership which provides support, guidance and training for staff. Through the curriculum and clubs, Wyvern provides opportunities for pupils to engage in a range of sports including dance, gymnastics, swimming and football.

Inspection of The Radcliffe School, Milton Keynes MK12 5BT
Most of you enjoy school, find lessons interesting and enjoy the wide range of activities available, including the VLH and opportunities for sports, trips and arts events. Most teaching is good, and you respond well when teachers plan opportunities for you to work in pairs and small groups, to contribute to discussions and evaluate your own and others’ work. However, you also told us that the quality of teaching and marking of work varies between different teachers and subjects, and our evidence confirmed this. We have asked the school to ensure that all teachers plan activities which meet everybody’s interests and abilities and that they all provide good feedback on how to improve your work, as the best ones already do.

You make good progress at school and achieve good results on GCSE and vocational courses, which enable you to progress well to further study, training or employment. However, results in GCSE English and mathematics declined last year, and the school is working hard to ensure that these improve in the current year. You can all do your part, not only by working well in class and attending revision sessions, but also by working independently outside lessons to improve your work and understanding.

What I have asked your school to do now. Make sure you are always challenged well in all lessons and give you more guidance about how to improve your writing. Provide additional support in Year 1 so that all groups do equally well. Make sure that leaders are clear about how they are going to check how well you are doing and set clear targets to ensure improvement is more rapid.
