This will help even more of your lessons to be outstanding. All of you can help by attending school whenever you can and continuing to work hard.

Inspection of Lee Manor Primary School, Lewisham SE13 5LS
We found that yours is a satisfactory school, with some good things about it. We were particularly pleased to find that your personal development is good. It is good because adults in the school look after you well and take care to make sure you are safe and healthy. You like coming to school and your attendance is good, so you develop characteristics that will help your learning as you move ahead in your education. Although recently results have fallen, especially in mathematics, we found that those of you in school currently are progressing much better, so your attainment is on track to be higher by the time you leave the school. We found teaching to be satisfactory, with learning in some lessons much better than in others. A dults, especially your new headteachers, know that and we have asked them to make sure that all of your learning is equally good. We found that progress is better for older pupils than for some younger ones, so we have asked the school to change that. We

Inspection of Kilmorie Primary School, Lewisham, London, SE23 2SP
We agreed with all the staff that Kilmorie is a good school which has made some big improvements in the last few years. You make good progress in your learning and, when you leave school, most pupils have skills in English and mathematics which are above average. It is particularly pleasing to see how many of you are working at the higher Level 5 standard. You also showed us, at play and in the rehearsals for the school production, which I would have liked to have been at today, how well you get on with one another to develop your artistic and social skills. In lessons, your behaviour is good. Most of you respond well to the exciting opportunities to learn in lessons and you understand if some pupils find concentration difficult at times.

Thank you for making my colleague and me so welcome when we visited your school. It was clear that you all thoroughly enjoy school and the excellent activities that you are provided with. Thank you to those of you that gave up some of your lunchtime to tell us about your school. Also, some of you completed questionnaires which gave a very positive view of the school. You told us that swimming is one of your favourite activities and it is good that you have a pool at the school. We enjoyed watching you all so busy enjoying yourselves during your breaks.

We were very pleased to know that older pupils can already see improvements in the school since the summer, for instance, in better behaviour. We agree that the school is improving quickly, partly because of its good links with your new partner schools, where everyone is helping each other. We think that your own attitudes are good, so you can help adults to improve the school even more.

Thank you for the warm welcome you gave us when the three inspectors recently visited your school. We very much enjoyed seeing you at work and play, and were impressed by the very positive things you had to say about your school. Please thank your parents or carers, too, for taking the time to complete their questionnaires which were very helpful to us.

Inspection of Brent Knoll School, Lewisham, SE23 2XH
Thank you for all the help you gave us when we inspected Brent Knoll. We judged that the school gives you a good education and that the way in which staff support you is exemplary. We particularly enjoyed being able to talk so many of you. Through the help you get in managing your own behaviour, you regain your confidence and self-esteem. This helps the older ones move successfully to further education, work or training. The small group sizes are a great help and, as one of you said, ‘Lessons are fun, it doesn’t feel like a school’. You all make a highly effective contribution to the local community through working on the allotment and helping at the local primary school, so please keep this up.

On behalf of the inspection team, I would like to thank you for your friendly welcome. We enjoyed meeting and talking with so many of you, sharing lunch, looking at your work and visiting your lessons. We have judged the school to be satisfactory, but improving rapidly under good leadership. Most of you are making satisfactory progress in reading, writing and mathematics, and the improvements in teaching mean that you are well on the way to making good progress. The headteacher, staff and governors are working hard to help you do better, and all the adults look after you well and make sure you are safe. In your questionnaires, you say you enjoy school and learn a lot in lessons. We agree with the school that the children in the Nursery and Reception classes get off to a good start. The school quite rightly has lots of plans on what it needs to improve next. We have asked your school to: improve the teaching further by ensuring that all the teachers regularly use the new
