- Lancasterian Primary School16 May 2017Good
King's Road, Tottenham, London, N17 8NN
Inspection findings
You recognise that disadvantaged pupils did not make as much progress as other pupils nationally last year in reading, writing and mathematics. However, differences between the rates of progress made by disadvantaged pupils in the school and others nationally are diminishing. Teachers’ planning and checks carried out by leaders make sure that these pupils are helped to catch up. The full impact of this has yet to be felt across the whole school due to small variations in the quality of teaching. Published data about pupils’ outcomes indicates that by the end of 2016, pupils had not made sufficient progress in reading. Progress was better in writing and mathematics. Leaders have ensured that moderation activities within the school and externally with local Haringey schools have raised staff expectations of good- quality writing and mathematics. Pupils’ progress in these areas continues to improve.

Inspection of St Paul's Catholic Primary School, Haringey, N22 7SZ
You may remember that three inspectors visited your school recently. I am writing on behalf of the other inspectors to say thank you for your help and tell you some of the best things we found about your school. You make good progress during your time in school. You are taught well and your teachers help and support you well in your learning. Your understanding of how to live healthy lifestyles and your contribution to your community are good. Your headteacher leads the school well, with the support of the staff and governors. Your teachers are always looking for ways in which they can help you to learn and achieve more. We have asked the school to do two things to help make it even better. First of all, we have asked the teachers to work together to make sure that you are asked to do work that is challenging enough, and the school's leaders to work together more effectively to check how well you are learning.

Inspection of Pembury House Nursery School, Haringey N17 9XZ
The many activities that are provided for you are outstanding. They include lots of exciting things for you to do, such as working with the artists, learning about photography and learning how to play the African drums. Your teachers and other adults really support you in helping you to develop your skills, knowledge and understanding, particularly of the world around you. There are excellent links with other groups and with other people, all of whom help you to make good progress in your learning. I hope that you continue to enjoy the fun things that there are to do. Even in good schools there are things that can be improved so I have asked the adults to review the way they check your progress. We have also asked them to work with your parents and carers to improve attendance. You and your families can help by making sure that you come to Nursery every day.

It was lovely to meet some of you when we came to visit your Nursery. We really liked some of the activities that you do. We enjoyed watching you ride your bikes, play in the sand and make pancakes out of play-dough, which looked delicious! You go to a good Nursery that is led and managed very well. Adults look after you extremely well and make sure that there are lots of interesting things for you to do. This helps you to make good progress in your learning, and to achieve well. You make particularly good progress in communication, language and literacy and in your creative and physical development. For example, some of you ride your bikes very well. You enjoy learning and most of you behave well. We were impressed with the way you help one another and try to sort out any problems you may have. Your parents and carers are very pleased with your Nursery, and the links between your Nursery and your parents and carers are outstanding.
