n Although the childminder has a good understanding of signs and symptoms of child abuse and has attended a range of training in relation to safeguarding, there are gaps in her knowledge. For example, she has limited knowledge surrounding the 'Prevent' duty and how to recognise signs of radicalisation in children. This means children's safety is at risk and child protection concerns may be missed. n The childminder understands how to order children's learning and how to monitor their progress from the start. However, she does not have a good understanding of how to provide a summary of children's progress at age two. The childminder does not know how to effectively complete this assessment or how it can be used to highlight achievements and areas for children's development. n The childminder understands how to create an environment for children to learn and play in. This provision does not meet requirements
There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
