to the appropriate agencies. n The childminder describes how she will promote children's positive behaviour in an appropriate manner. For instance, she explains that she will be consistent with her rules for children. n The childminder understands the importance of working with parents and carers to provide continuity in care. For example, she discusses how she will gather information from home about children's interests before they join her setting. n The childminder has not kept her knowledge up to date around the learning and development requirements. She shows a limited understanding of the importance of the prime areas of learning, such as building children's independence skills, particularly in preparing young children for school. The childminder is unable to discuss her learning intentions for different age groups for children.
p.2
This provision does not meet requirements
There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
