p.1

This provision does not meet requirements

n Since the last inspection, the childminder focused on her professional development. She gained knowledge of the early years foundation stage requirements, including through training and support from the local authority advisory team. However, she failed to maintain her public liability insurance as required. n The childminder updated her knowledge of safeguarding procedures. She attended training, to help her understand what action to take in line with the local safeguarding partnership, should she have a concern about children's welfare. This helps to keep children safe. n The childminder knows how to plan and deliver a suitably challenging curriculum to help children build on what they already know and help them prepare for the next steps in learning. She has suitable knowledge of how to assess children's progress at the age of two years and highlight their strengths and areas for future development.

This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder understands the importance of working in partnership with parents and other professionals involved in children's development. She explains how effective information sharing helps to provide consistency in children's learning and development. n She knows how to extend children's communication and language development, including through stories, rhymes, and meaningful discussions during play. n The childminder knows what events and changes need to be reported to Ofsted. n The childminder demonstrates how to promote positive behaviour, including through praise and encouragement. She explains how she teaches children to be kind and respectful of each other's differences. n The childminder knows how to keep children healthy. For example, she teaches children about the importance of good hygiene routines and ensures children regularly access outdoors and keep active.

p.2

This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
