n The childminder completes effective risk assessments to ensure the environment is safe. This includes ensuring the areas children play in and the resources they use are suitable. n The childminder ensures that she keeps her safeguarding knowledge up to date. For example. she completes annual refresher training and ensures that she maintains a copy of the latest guidance from her local authority. She knows how to recognise the signs of abuse and neglect. Also, what to do if she becomes concerned about a child's welfare and the procedure to follow if there is an allegation about herself. n The childminder has failed to meet her statutory duty to ensure she always holds a full paediatric first-aid qualification. As a result, the childminder's knowledge of how to help children in an emergency is not current. n The childminder demonstrates suitable knowledge of how to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. For example, she maintains

p.2

This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
