n The childminder demonstrates a significantly poor understanding of what it means to be legally compliant with the requirements of her registration. Flies have started to accumulate in the bedroom and across the house. This poses a significant risk to children's health and safety. n The childminder presents with a poor understanding of child protection. She is unaware of the local referral procedure and is unsure of the possible signs, symptoms and indicators of abuse and neglect. She does not understand the steps to take if there is an allegation against herself or a household member. This incredibly poor understanding of child protection places children at risk. n The childminder has a poor understanding of child development. She cannot explain how she intends to offer an ambitious curriculum to children. She is unable to explain the areas of learning and her understanding of assessment is

p.2
This provision does not meet requirements
There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
