at risk. n The childminder lacks understanding about how to assess children and use this to identify gaps in their learning. She is not able to demonstrate how she will effectively check children's progress between the ages of two and three years. Additionally, the childminder is unclear about the purpose of this assessment and how to involve parents in this process. n The childminder has limited knowledge about the different ways in which children learn, and how to support them to make progress across the different areas of learning and development. Therefore, she does not have a curriculum in place that is suitable and challenging. She does not plan learning opportunities to ensure children are ready for their next stage in learning. n The childminder does not have effective systems in place to continuously evaluate and improve her setting. Therefore, she has not identified areas of her practice and provision that need improvement.

This provision does not meet requirements
There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
