p.1

This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder has not kept herself up to date with changes in the early years foundation stage. Therefore she is unable to ensure that she meets all the requirements of this statutory document. n The childminder does not understand her duty to complete the required progress check at age two and what this involves. n The childminder has some understanding of how to identify children with possible special educational needs and/or disabilities. She is able to explain how she will work with external agencies to support these children. n The childminder is able to describe how she would manage behaviour in a positive way by praising children when they show expected behaviours. She explains that she would work hard to build strong relationships with children and their families. n The childminder does not understand the process that she must follow if an allegation is made against her or a member of her household.

p.2

This provision does not meet requirements

n The childminder understands processes to follow if she is concerned that a child may be at risk of harm. She is able to explain how to identify if a child may be at risk of abuse. n The childminder has a secure understanding of risk in her home and how to mitigate these risks. Her home is spacious and hygienic, making it suitable for childminded children. She holds an up to date paediatric first-aid certificate.

p.2

This provision does not meet requirements

There were no children in the early years age range present when this inspection took place. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with those who care for the children and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. Where there are no early years children present, no judgement is made on the quality of the early years provision as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess its impact on children. The report states whether the provider continues to meet the requirements of registration.
