p.1
The provision is outstanding
Children flourish and make excellent progress in the care of this very dedicated and caring childminder. Children are very warmly welcomed by the childminder and other children when they first arrive. When visitors arrive, children excitedly jump up and down, and keenly introduce themselves.
p.2
The provision is outstanding
Children behave superbly and they are extremely emotionally secure. The childminder successfully supports children to confidently express how they feel and to label emotions. Children confidently tell visitors how they use a sand timer to help them take turns. Children use good manners because the childminder is an excellent role model and consistently encourages them. When playing together and sharing toys children politely say, 'Please can I have a go?'
p.2
The provision is outstanding
Children are at the heart of decision making, to help very successfully develop their talents, interests, self-esteem and their place in the community. For example, they learn about different places of worship in their local community and show great enthusiasm when they choose to play and learn about people who help us. For example, children rummage through a toy dentist kit and play imaginatively. They eagerly investigate each other's teeth with a toy mirror. Children learn about healthy food to further promote oral health and successfully remember names of teeth, such as 'molars' and 'canine'. They thoroughly enjoy choosing snacks and lunch.

n The childminder's curriculum focuses very strongly on promoting children's communication and language skills, where all children flourish. Children speak with confidence and fluency with each other, visitors, and the childminder. They excitedly tell visitors about their daily outings, such as to local toddler groups and looking for a 'Gruffalo' in nearby woodland. They giggle as they say, 'we never find him'. n The childminder expertly introduces new words and she reads many books, to help extend children's vocabulary. Children keenly repeat words and remember key parts of stories, over time. They excitedly talk about a story about animals and the robbers. Children show such delight as they sing lots of songs and shake tambourines and bells. They count how many flying saucers on their fingers, march and stomp their feet, laugh, and giggle when they hop like little bunnies. Very young children listen attentively to stories and songs. They eagerly bob up

and down when children and the childminder sing together. n The childminder skilfully uses every opportunity to consistently involve less confident, younger children to join in with all activities. She is extremely calm and caring to help support all children's learning, growing curiosity and

The childminder consistently shows excellent teaching skills. n During the COVID-19 pandemic lockdown, the childminder ensured that she consistently kept in touch with early years children and families.
