This provision meets requirements

The very experienced childminder has created a warm, safe and welcoming environment for children. Children are happy and settled. They have formed secure bonds with the childminder. She knows them well and responds to their needs effectively. For example, the childminder understands some of the children become tired after school, so she creates relaxing areas for them to rest in. This helps to support children's emotional well-being and give them a sense of belonging. Children are confident and happily make conversation with the inspector. They eagerly tell her why they like attending. Children excitedly recall past events as they describe how they picked blackberries and made jam in the summer.

This helps to assure the health and safety of the children in her care. n Children benefit from visits in the local community. They regularly visit the local park where they begin to manage their own risk as they practise their physical skills using the large climbing equipment.
