The provision is outstanding
Children are very warmly welcomed by the extremely caring childminder and her assistant when they first arrive. This helps children to settle very quickly and supports their emotional well-being to a very high level. Children flourish in an extremely vibrant and exciting environment. For example, children explored the loose parts of recycled and authentic resources, such as locks, keys and latches, and wooden figurines, including camels and turtles. This helps to promote young children's exploratory drive and curiosity to an outstanding level. The childminder skilfully plans activities and experiences across all areas of learning that fill young children with awe and wonder. A wealth of enjoyable experiences capture their interests and motivate them to learn. Children show a strong capacity for perseverance, such as when they pick up objects with pegs and tongs, and concentrate as they build towers with real potatoes and large pebbles. Young

Safeguarding
The childminder and her assistant make use of regular training opportunities to refresh their strong knowledge of safeguarding. This includes wider safeguarding issues, such as the risks of radicalisation and extremism. She understands the action to take if she has a concern about a child's welfare and the correct local procedures to follow. She can identify the signs that a child may be at risk of harm and knows how to report any concerns to keep children safe. She provides parents with information about child safety.
