This provision is good
The childminder has addressed all issues raised at her last inspection. She now considers the individual needs, interests and stage of development of each child. She uses this information effectively to plan challenging and enjoyable experiences for all children. The childminder promotes children's mathematical skills effectively. She uses mathematical language and regularly includes children in counting as part of their daily routines. Toddlers are extremely enthusiastic as they join in with singing number rhymes. The childminder uses settling-in visits and discussions with parents to gather detailed information about each child when they first start. Thorough tracking systems help her to identify and address any gaps in children's learning. Children have strong relationships with the childminder. They demonstrate good behaviour and respond well to her high expectations. Children's emotional well-being is

Inspection activities
The inspector observed the quality of teaching during activities indoors and assessed the impact this has on children's learning. The inspector completed a joint evaluation of an activity with the childminder. The inspector held a number of discussions with the childminder. She looked at relevant documentation and evidence of the suitability of persons living in the household. The inspector spoke to children during the inspection. The inspector took account of the views of parents through written feedback provided.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
Safeguarding is effective. The childminder has a good knowledge of child protection issues. She understands what action to take if she were concerned about the welfare of a child. She checks the environment to identify and minimise risks to children. The childminder works in partnership with parents, local schools and a wide range of external agencies. This helps her to meet the needs of all children, including those who have special educational needs and/or disabilities. She works well with her co-childminder. They share ideas and knowledge to help each other enhance their teaching skills. They carry out observations of practice and discuss ways to improve learning opportunities for children.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
The qualified and experienced childminder understands how young children learn and provides activities which help motivate them to learn. For example, toddlers enjoy using a variety of one-handed tools and equipment to paint and make marks on paper. They demonstrate high levels of engagement, talk excitedly about their pictures and respond well to praise from the childminder. The childminder interacts positively with the children. She provides an ongoing commentary during children's play, asks good questions and engages them well in conversations. This helps support the effective development of young children's communication skills as they learn new words quickly and begin to say simple sentences.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
The childminder knows the children in her care well. Regular communication with parents helps her to meet children's individual needs effectively. She is aware of things that upset or unsettle children and supports them to build their confidence. The childminder is a very good role model. She encourages children to be kind and helpful to one another. For example, toddlers are supported extremely well to share toys and take turns as they play. They are learning to manage their own feelings. Children have many opportunities to develop their physical skills as they manipulate a range of tools and equipment and play in the childminder's garden. They attend various community groups in the area. These help them to become more confident in new situations and support them to learn about their wider community.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
Children are confident and motivated learners. They enjoy exploring a range of interesting resources within the well-organised learning environment which helps to support their independence. For example, young children persevere well when completing jigsaw puzzles, demonstrating a positive attitude to learning. Children make good progress in their development in preparation for their move to school.
