The childminder places a sharp focus on monitoring children's learning. She uses rigorous observation systems. Children make exceptional progress from their starting points. Any potential gaps in children's learning are identified swiftly and suitable support is put in place immediately. The childminder highly values parents' views. Excellent partnership working enables the childminder and parents to improve the provision and outcomes for children and their families. Children consistently demonstrate excellent behaviour and respect for each other. The childminder provides excellent examples for children of how to treat others. Children develop an excellent understanding of daily routines and are extremely independent. They learn to take age-appropriate responsibilities and support each other to become independent. For example, young children tidy up their toys, prompted and encouraged by older children, before going outside to play.

Inspection activities
The inspector observed the childminder's teaching and its impact on the children's learning. The inspector checked documents, including the childminder's background suitability checks and training certificates. The inspector sampled the childminder's planning documents, and discussed children's individual learning and development. The inspector held discussions with the childminder about her self-evaluation processes. The inspector sampled the childminder's policies and procedures, including those relating to safeguarding.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is outstanding
Safeguarding is effective. Children's welfare and well-being are significantly enhanced by the vigilant and highly consistent implementation of clear policies and procedures. The childminder develops her skills and knowledge exceptionally well. For example, she follows a robust training schedule and uses new knowledge to improve her practice and provide exceptionally high-quality outcomes for children. The childminder continually reviews and assesses her provision to ensure the excellent quality of her service is maintained. The pursuit of excellence in all of the activities is highly successful and maintains the superb variety of exciting experiences for the children who attend.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is outstanding
Planning is highly focused on children's individual needs and the childminder continually promotes opportunities for children to develop as independent learners. She stimulates children's curiosity to explore, extremely well, and plans an interesting range of activities, opportunities and resources. For example, children's current interest in looking at how things change over time sparked children choosing to plant sunflower seeds. The children chose the seeds at the shop, bought the soil and pots, and carried out the planting at home. The childminder seizes opportunities extremely well to adapt and expand activities to enable children to learn through play. For example, a simple number-matching game swiftly developed into a more complex game where older children identified numbers above 20 and 30 in an enjoyable and interactive way.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are outstanding
The childminder is caring and nurturing, and children have formed excellent bonds with her. Children settle quickly and develop a deep sense of belonging. They are extremely confident learners and are eager to play and explore. Children learn how to manage their personal care. For example, they learn about why they need to wash their hands as the childminder reminds them to wash away germs they cannot see. The childminder skilfully supports children to develop an understanding of healthy lifestyles. For example, she provides a varied range of nutritious meals. However, on occasions, she does not fully support children's understanding of why it is important to have a healthy diet.
p.3
Outcomes for children are outstanding
Children make excellent progress towards the next stages in their learning. They develop strong foundations for future learning and are prepared extremely well for their move to school. Children are extremely happy and constantly explore. Children of all ages develop early writing, reading and number skills exceptionally well. Children are very keen to do things independently. For example, they enthusiastically use a 'trick' to put on their coat and are eager to show off their skills as they do up their zips and put on their shoes.
