This provision is good
Since the last inspection, the manager and staff team have worked hard to make significant improvements. This has had a positive impact on the quality of the provision and outcomes for children. The manager has a clear understanding of her role. She provides good support for her staff team and continues to manage their performance needs well. The nursery environment is welcoming and homely. Staff build strong relationships with the children and spend a long time getting to know them. They effectively tailor care to meet children's individual needs. Partnerships with parents are good. Staff share information well with parents such as verbally or using a software program. Parents speak highly of the caring staff and how much their children enjoy coming to the nursery. The quality of teaching is good. Children engage in enjoyable and exciting activities that motivate and challenge them. Children make good progress in relation to their starting
p.1
It is not yet outstanding because:
Staff do not make the most of opportunities to strengthen further children's understanding of the benefits of adopting healthy lifestyles. At times, staff miss opportunities to help children to extend their thinking and learning skills and follow their own lead during activities.

Inspection activities
The inspector spoke to the deputy manager and other staff at appropriate times throughout the inspection. The inspector engaged with the children at appropriate times during the inspection. The inspector observed children indoors and during outdoor play including at snack and lunch times, and at daily hygiene routines. The inspector engaged in a joint observation with the deputy manager. The inspector sampled various documents including risk assessments, the self- evaluation form, and a range of policies and procedures.
p.2
Effectiveness of the leadership and management is good
Safeguarding is effective. All staff have recently attended safeguarding training and have a good understanding of keeping children safe, and the procedures to follow should they have a concern about a child's well-being. The manager implements rigorous recruitment and vetting procedures to make sure that staff are suitable for their roles and responsibilities. The manager is successful in reflecting on practice. She leads the staff team well in striving towards improvement and uses suggestions from parents to make effective changes. For example, she has recently improved the observation and planning system to ensure it takes into account each child's individual needs and interests. The manager and staff accurately assess and monitor individual and groups of children's progress. They identify areas where children may need extra support or staff may need extra training and quickly put in plans to support them.
p.3
Quality of teaching, learning and assessment is good
Staff provide an encouraging environment where children choose resources independently and have fun as they learn. Staff know the children well and plan activities taking into account their interests. They effectively support children's communication and language skills. For example, staff talk to children during play and narrate what they are doing, while role modelling good speaking skills. Children enjoy being imaginative and explore confidently with a range of tools. For example, children play in the outdoor kitchen using a range of real-life and natural resources. Children engage in numerous activities that develop their fine-motor skills such as transporting water with pipettes, matching socks and opening small padlocks.
p.3
Personal development, behaviour and welfare are good
Children behave well and are kind, considerate and good mannered. Staff acts as good role models and encourage positive behaviour. Staff provide a range of activities to support children's physical skills. For example, children enjoy plenty of exercise such as during tennis lessons, music and movement sessions and playing in the garden. Children learn to be independent, for example they serve themselves during lunch time and manage their own personal needs, such as toileting and dressing themselves, effectively. Children have many opportunities to learn about their own and other people's backgrounds such as through planned activities, visual displays and a range of resources.
p.3
Outcomes for children are good
All children make good progress. They are happy, confident and enjoy learning. Children have an interest in numeracy. For example, they learn to order numbers and complete simple addition and subtraction challenges. Children are well prepared for the next stages in their learning including their move on to school.
