p.1
This provision is inadequate
The childminder has not ensured that all adults in her home are cleared as suitable through Ofsted procedures and the Disclosure and Barring Service checking system. This compromises children's safety. This also applies to the Childcare register. The childminder lacks knowledge of the progress check for children aged between two and three. This means that any gaps in children's learning are not identified in order to provide additional support to close those gaps. The childminder does not plan and assess for children's learning in order to provide challenging and enjoyable educational programmes for children. This is because she does not have knowledge of the learning and development requirements. The childminder does not keep a daily record of children's names and hours of attendance. This compromises children's safety. The childminder does not comply with the Childcare Register requirements because she

Inspection activities
The inspector spoke to the childminder about her knowledge of children's learning and development. The inspector observed the childminder playing and interacting with children. The inspector toured the parts of the home used for childminding. The inspector reviewed the childminder's documentation, including training certificates, registration documents and policies.
p.3
who attend. This is inadequate
The childminder follows children's interests and gives them choices in their play. Therefore, children are generally happy and motivated. However, the childminder does not have sufficient knowledge of the learning and development requirements. Consequently, the quality of teaching is inadequate. The childminder does not make use of observations to assess children's learning. Therefore, educational programmes are not challenging for children. The childminder does not have adequate knowledge and understanding of the progress check for two-year-old children. This hinders her ability to source early intervention for children who may need additional support. Consequently, the childminder is not preparing children for their future learning, or in readiness for their move to school.
p.4
inadequate
Children are confident because the childminder is friendly and engaging. Children enjoy plenty of fresh food and fruits daily, which promotes good eating habits. The childminder enhances children's independence by giving them responsibility for maintaining resources that they use. For example, children sharpen colouring pens, which they take pride in doing. The childminder maintains a clean and organised environment, which supports children's ability to move freely and access resources. Daily risk assessments ensure that the environment is free from hazards. However, the childminder does not keep a daily record of the names of children and their hours of attendance, which compromises children's safety.
p.4
provision is inadequate
The childminder has failed to notify Ofsted of significant changes. This includes failure to notify Ofsted of individuals over 16 years of age living in her home. This compromises children's welfare because vetting checks, to assess their suitability to live on the premises in which childcare is taking place, have not been carried out. The childminder shares information with parents about children's daily activities. This helps to build positive partnerships. The childminder has a secure knowledge of safeguarding and child protection. She is able to act in accordance with the procedures of the Local Safeguarding Children's Board. However, she does not have a written statement of safeguarding procedures to meet the legal requirements of the Childcare Register. The childminder has attended attachment training, which positively influences the way she supports children's personal, social and emotional development. However, the childminder does not reflect on

her provision. Therefore, she misses opportunities to improve outcomes for children.
