Social Responsibility and Community Cohesion
Thank you for your hospitality and co-operation during my recent visit. I am particularly grateful to you and your staff for the hard work involved in preparing for the visit and for giving up your time to meet me. Please pass on my thanks to all those concerned, including your students. The visit provided much useful evidence for the further development of social responsibility and community cohesion. I noted, in particular:
p.1
Social Responsibility and Community Cohesion
• Successful outcomes for particular groups including those from minority ethnic communities, young apprentices, 14-16 learners and those receiving additional support • Good support and provision for new arrivals and second language speakers in learning English • The very good strategy and initiatives to tackle worklessness through education and training • Very good use of tutorial and enrichment programmes to promote tolerance, shared values and open debate • The good whole college corporate approach to social responsibility.
p.1
Social Responsibility and Community Cohesion
• The further development of opportunities to celebrate a diverse range of faiths and cultures.
