Ofsted survey inspection programme – 14-19 reforms

The college has played a sound strategic role in the partnership for taking forward the 14-19 reforms in the local area. The college has developed its curriculum appropriately to meet the needs and interests of young people in the local area. This includes the expansion of its courses below level 3 and vocational courses and a 14 - 16 programme with high success rates. Work with Connexions to reduce the numbers of young people not in employment, education and training at 16 is developing well. Particular strengths include collaboration and communication with local schools, including regular progress updates for young learners attending the 14 -16 programme at the college. Post 16 students at the college value highly the quality of the feedback they receive about their progress through the helpful tutorial sessions.
