Deep dive

What this report says

In plain English

mixed

Ofsted found the nursery had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised after earlier concerns.

Following concerns and a regulatory visit in September 2026, Ofsted served a welfare requirements notice covering risk assessment, staff training, mealtime supervision, cleanliness, behaviour management and staff development. At a follow-up visit in October 2026, inspectors found the provider had made the required changes. Ofsted is satisfied the actions have been met and the provider remains registered.

Going well

  • Staff given additional training and support on risk assessment
  • Mealtime staffing changed so children are properly supervised while eating
  • Deep clean carried out and arrangements made to keep the building clean
  • Staff trained to manage children's behaviour and support learning

What parents should know

  • The setting had to make significant changes after concerns were raised, and inspectors found these were now in place.
  • Ask the setting how it supervises children at mealtimes and how it manages behaviour.
  • The provider is still registered, but the report does not give a full judgement on the quality of care beyond the actions checked.

What other providers can learn

  • Check that risk assessments are carried out effectively and that staff are trained to identify and respond to risks.
  • Make sure children are properly supervised at mealtimes through clear staff deployment.
  • Keep premises, including outdoor areas, clean and hygienic, with arrangements to maintain cleanliness over time.

Summary of outcome

On 16 October 2026, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at their last regulatory event. We found that the provider had provided additional training and support for staff to enable them to understand and carry out effective risk assessment. The changes in the organisation and effective deployment of staff at mealtimes ensure that children are properly supervised while eating. Leaders organised a deep clean of the premises and made appropriate arrangements to ensure the continued cleanliness of the building. The provider has provided staff with training and support to be able to manage children's behaviour effectively and ensured that they have a clear understanding of how to support children's learning, development , safety and happiness in the setting.
