p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders have a clear oversight for the provision they offer. They have a precise vision for the care and enjoyable experiences they plan to provide for children. Leaders monitor the out-of-school club regularly to ensure that any areas of improvement are swiftly identified. Leaders then take action promptly to raise the quality of the provision.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders have effective arrangements in place for the ongoing supervision of staff. For example, leaders provide opportunities for collaborative feedback to support professional development. Leaders provide high-quality training opportunities. For example, staff engage in training to enhance their understanding of working with children with special educational needs and/or disabilities (SEND). Leaders have a well-organised key-person system in place to support children. They plan for this to support children's wellbeing as they settle in and to provide them with the opportunity to develop secure attachments with a familiar adult. Leaders have high expectations for children's positive behaviour and provide staff with training to ensure these expectations are effectively delivered to children.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders plan for staff to have ongoing, thoughtful engagements with parents. This is so that parents feel involved with what is happening at the club. Leaders work closely with the school to support transitions for all children. For example, they support children with SEND through understanding the strategies that are in place for them at school.
p.2
Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders have rigorous policies in place that are strategically reviewed and amended. Leaders ensure that practice is monitored in line with these policies so that it is continually of high quality. Leaders also ensure that parents are aware of their attendance policy. Leaders intend to support children to attend regularly and encourage parents to inform them of any planned absences.

About this inspection
There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment, and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas.
