p.2
Findings from the inspection
Three children have moved into the home within a short length of time and are still adjusting to their new environment, routines and relationships. As a result, there has been an increase in incidents. The manager carries out impact risk assessments when children move into the home to identify their individual needs, vulnerabilities and risks and to consider how these can be managed to support the safety and stability of all children living together in the home.
p.2
Findings from the inspection
When serious incidents occur, they are managed well by staff, and the manager has effective oversight. Direct work sessions are carried out with children to enable reflection and to support them in sharing their views and exploring their emotions. The clinical lead offers guidance on developing plans and approaches to support children based on their individual needs.
p.2
Findings from the inspection
When children experience emotional distress or present with injuries or concerns about their wellbeing, staff respond promptly to their individual needs and recognise when medical intervention is required. Children are supported to access appropriate medical care, and staff provide reassurance throughout. In addition, children are offered further support from the clinical lead to promote their emotional health and wellbeing.
p.2
Findings from the inspection
Missing-from-home protocols are followed when children go missing from home. This ensures that there is a swift response from staff and multi-agency partners to keep children safe. Staff keep in touch with children where possible and always search the local area in an effort to achieve immediate safety. Staff contact the police in a timely manner.
p.2
Findings from the inspection
Children access education and are supported to develop plans for their future. They have established positive relationships with staff and their peers. Staff support children to develop and maintain healthy relationships inside and outside the home. Staff recognise when children may benefit from space or time away from others and provide appropriate support to help them manage relationships positively.
