What this report says

In plain English

critical

Nursery not meeting some legal requirements; two welfare notices served, with some actions now met.

Inspectors found the nursery was not meeting some early years legal requirements and served a welfare requirements notice. A regulatory visit on 12 October 2026 found that several earlier actions had been met, including safeguarding training, safer eating practice, staffing ratios and accident recording. However, not all actions were met, so a further welfare requirements notice was served about safe sleeping arrangements and separate mattresses. The provider remains registered and Ofsted will monitor its response.

Going well

  • Leaders updated safeguarding training and improved knowledge of reporting requirements
  • Staff trained on safer eating and now supervise children while eating
  • Staff to child ratios are maintained and staff are deployed effectively
  • Staff trained on recording accidents, injuries and first aid treatment

To improve

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the¿Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

Summary of outcome

On 12 October 2026, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at their last inspection, on the welfare requirements notice. We found that all leaders with the designated safeguarding responsibility updated their safeguarding training and improved knowledge of reporting requirements in line with the local safeguarding partnership procedures, to protect their welfare. Staff attended training on safer eating and improved practice to ensure they supervise children while eating. The provider ensured that staff: child ratios are maintained, and staff are deployed effectively to supervise children. Staff received training on how to record accidents and developed an understanding of keeping an accurate record of accidents, injuries and first aid treatment given to children.

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
