Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 12 June 2026, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting requirements relating to concerns about children's safety and welfare; safeguarding policies and procedures; supporting and understanding children's behaviour and food and drink.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 12 June 2026, the provider also notified us about the same matters. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of any significant event which is likely to affect the suitability of the provider to look after children.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We suspended the provider's registration on 17 June 2026 because we believe children may be at risk of harm. Suspension allows time for the provider to take steps to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm to children. The provider has a right to appeal against a suspension.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 30 June 2026, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We have served a welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

n extend your safeguarding procedure to include clear and relevant action to be taken in the event of an allegation being made against anyone living, working or looking after children at the premises, and also increase your knowledge and understanding of the procedure

p.1

Summary of outcome

n demonstrate how you aim to complete safeguarding training that is consistent with the criteria set out in Annex C of the Early years foundation stage framework (EYFS) and renew the training every two years

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure you only care for a maximum of three young children at any one time (a child is a young child until 31st August following his or her fifth birthday) n increase your knowledge and skills regarding understanding, supporting and managing children's behaviour in appropriate ways

p.1

Summary of outcome

n ensure you do not threaten corporal punishment or any punishment which could negatively affect a child's well-being, including their emotional well-being

p.2

Summary of outcome

n keep a record of any occasion where physical intervention is used, and inform parents and/or carers on the same day, or as soon as reasonably practicable.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 17 July 2026 we carried out a further regulatory visit. We found that the provider had extended their safeguarding procedure and had also increased their knowledge and understanding of the relevant procedures to be followed.

p.2

Summary of outcome

The provider completed a relevant safeguarding children training course on 22 July. They confirm that they will not threaten corporal punishment or any punishment which could negatively affect a child's wellbeing, including their emotional wellbeing.

p.2

Summary of outcome

The provider now only has four early years age children on roll, of which no more than three will be attending at the same time.

p.2

Summary of outcome

The provider has increased their knowledge and skills regarding understanding, supporting and managing children's behaviour in appropriate ways. They have completed several different online training courses, including: safeguarding children for education: supporting learning behaviours; understanding child development and the EYFS; reviewing daily routines and safer sleep.

p.2

Summary of outcome

The provider confirmed they will now keep a record of any occasion where physical intervention is used, and inform parents and/or carers on the same day, or as soon as reasonably practicable.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 4 September 2026, we lifted the suspension because the provider took appropriate action to deal with the matter that led to the suspension. We are satisfied that the identified risk of harm to children has been removed. However, we issued an action for the provider to take in relation to their ongoing training, support and skills.

p.2

Summary of outcome

n demonstrate how you aim to improve your knowledge and understanding of child development, in order to effectively support children's learning, development, safety and happiness within the setting.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 5 October 2026 the provider responded to say that they have completed several online training courses, including; child development 0-5years, brain development in early years, brain development and play, and a good place to be two. The provider will also be starting an early years level 3 qualification course in January 2027. We are satisfied with the action taken by the provider. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.3

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
