What this report says

In plain English

critical

Monitoring visit found the children's home still has five unmet legal requirements from the last inspection, all restated.

This monitoring visit to the children's home restated several legal requirements made at the last inspection. These cover admissions within the statement of purpose, restraint of children, notifications to Ofsted, use of monitoring devices, and the statement of purpose itself. The registered provider must meet these by 13 November 2026.

To improve

  • Admit children only when their needs are within the home's statement of purpose.
  • Ensure restraint is only used to prevent injury, serious damage or absconding, and is necessary and proportionate.
  • Notify HMCI and relevant persons without delay about serious incidents, allegations and child protection enquiries.
  • Use monitoring or surveillance devices only within the conditions set out in regulations.
  • Compile a statement of purpose covering the matters listed in Schedule 1.
