Deep dive

What this report says

In plain English

positive

The nursery has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at its earlier inspection.

An inspection in July 2026 found the nursery was not meeting some legal requirements, and a welfare requirements notice was served in September 2026. A regulatory visit on 21 September 2026 checked the actions and found they had been met. Inspectors were satisfied that the provider had addressed the safeguarding and welfare actions raised, and the provider remains registered with Ofsted.

Going well

  • Staff deployment has improved, helping keep children safe and adequately supervised.
  • All children now have a key person who understands their individual needs.
  • Staff use risk assessment effectively to identify and reduce potential hazards.
  • Someone suitable is now always in charge when the manager is absent.

To improve

  • Staff are still working to embed behaviour strategies more fully, with leaders supporting them.

Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2 . If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 1 April 2026, the provider notified us about matters relating to safeguarding policies and procedures, key person, staff: child ratios and health. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of a significant event.

p.1

Summary of outcome

The report card and inspection outcome will be published in due course. Following the inspection, we served a welfare requirements notice on 8 September 2026. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

Summary of outcome

On 21 September 2026, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at their last inspection.

p.2

Summary of outcome

We found that staff have improved their understanding of the arrangements for deployment and now implement these more effectively. This helps to keep children safe and adequately supervised. All children now have a key person who has a clear understanding of their individual needs and how to ensure that these are met. Staff use risk assessment effectively to identify potential hazards, and take prompt action to remove or minimise these. Leaders have ensured that staff have received updated training, so that they have a better understanding of what is expected of them. Leaders now make sure that there is always someone suitable to take charge in the absence of the manager. Leaders and staff are working closely on improving how they support children's behaviour. Staff have developed a range of strategies to support children's behaviour, and leaders are supporting staff to embed these strategies further. This helps children to know and understand what is
