Childminder
Unique reference number (URN): 2809322 Registered with Ofsted: 03/12/2024 Registers: EYR, CCR, VCR
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
The childminder has a clear vision for the quality of the provision and there is a particular focus on providing children with a wide range of outdoor experiences. The childminder uses ongoing evaluative reflections to identify areas for further development. This includes taking part in continuous professional development, which is used to improve the learning outcomes for children. For instance, maintaining a sharper focus on supporting children's learning and development during activities, such as when using the mud kitchen. Where children have needed individualised support, such as with their dietary requirements, the childminder works with parents to ensure she provides the appropriate support within the childminding setting.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
The childminder builds relationships and shares information about children's education and care with parents, with a particular emphasis on ensuring that children's wellbeing is thoroughly supported. The childminder has also developed positive relationships with other settings that children attend, such as the local school and nursery. She ensures that all relevant information is shared between all caregivers, to best support the consistency of care for children. This includes supporting transitions, when children move on to the next phase of education, to help ensure that children settle well. The provider has strategies in place to ensure that workload is manageable and, as a result, time is prioritised to directly support children's needs.

This data was available to the inspector at the time of the inspection.
p.3
5 to 9
We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.
p.3
5 to 9
There were no early years children present on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors evaluate and grade only leadership and governance, as there is no reliable evidence from other evaluation areas through which to assess the impact on children.
