p.1

Findings from the inspection

This visit was carried out in response to an escalation in safeguarding notifications received by Ofsted and was undertaken to gain assurance that the child was safe.

p.2

Findings from the inspection

Since the last inspection, one child has left the home in a planned move, and one child has come to live at the home.

p.2

Findings from the inspection

When planning for the child coming to live at the home, managers considered whether the staff could meet the child’s needs. This included gathering information about the child’s background and needs, and the manager visiting the child’s parent to gather information about the child’s likes, dislikes and routines.

p.2

Findings from the inspection

The child enjoys art and craft activities in the home, including painting, jewellery making and stickers, which they enjoy with staff. The child’s wishes and likes are evident in their care planning, activities and incentives and include pamper nights and film nights. The child enjoys being part of a local football team, which has given them a sense of pride and a chance to play with other children. The child has made progress in their self-care since coming to live at the home.

p.2

p.2

Findings from the inspection

Staff have training that meets the specific needs of the child and can request refresher training, additional or more in-depth training if they or the manager feel this would be beneficial. Managers have taken action to ensure the team are upskilled to meet emerging risks for the child.
