Inspected under the common inspection framework
p.1
Information about this children’s home
This home is operated by a private organisation. It was registered in May 2016 and provides care for up to 4 children who have social and emotional difficulties.
p.1
Information about this children’s home
The home’s manager started in November 2025 and has applied to register with Ofsted.
p.1
This monitoring visit
This children’s home was judged inadequate following an inspection that started on 2 June 2026. Inspectors returned on 9 June 2026 to gather additional evidence in line with Ofsted inspections and visits: deferring, pausing and gathering additional evidence policy. There were serious concerns in relation to the care and protection of children. As a result of that inspection, 5 requirements were made.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The purpose of this monitoring visit was to review the provider’s progress in meeting the requirements and to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the children. At this visit, all 5 requirements were deemed to have been met. Following this visit, one new requirement and 2 new recommendations were issued.
p.1
This monitoring visit
At the time of this visit, 3 children were living at the home. All 3 children spoke to the inspector. They said they feel safe in the home and can talk to staff when they feel worried or unsafe.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Staff help children understand their behaviours and manage their emotions through regular, meaningful and non-judgemental conversations. They encourage children to reflect on their actions, explore safer alternative choices and understand risk. Children have a say in the consequences that affect them, which promotes accountability and responsibility for their actions. This approach reinforces positive Inspection report for children's home - monitoring visit: 1231458 2 FOR PUBLIC RELEASE

behaviours, helps to develop emotional resilience and supports children to make safer choices.
p.2
This monitoring visit
Since the last inspection, the home has not recruited any new staff. However, leaders have established clear and safe recruitment processes to ensure that only suitable staff are employed to work with children.
p.2
This monitoring visit
Since the last inspection, staff have carried out 2 physical interventions. After each intervention, staff speak with the children to help them reflect on the incident and express their thoughts and feelings. However, leaders do not consistently provide staff with opportunities to talk about their experiences. This limits staff’s ability to reflect on their practice, learn from events and identify areas for improvement.
p.2
This monitoring visit
Overall, staff respond appropriately and support children well when they go missing from the home. However, on one occasion, staff did not notify the police promptly after a child went missing, delaying the police’s timely and appropriate response to safeguard and locate the child. Although on this occasion the child was not impacted, this practice does not promote or protect children’s safety and wellbeing.
p.2
This monitoring visit
The home is welcoming and well presented. However, some parts of one child’s bedroom needed cleaning, and the various items scattered all over the floor posed a potential risk to the child. The manager said they would immediately address this shortfall and gave assurances that new processes will be put in place to prevent this from happening again.
