p.1

Leadership and governance Needs attention

The childminder explains how she works closely with external professionals to improve the quality of education and care at her provision. Since the last inspection, the childminder has undergone training to improve the quality of the curriculum and teaching. Through discussions, the childminder demonstrates a secure knowledge of a balanced curriculum. She is able to discuss age-appropriate activities to support children in all areas of learning. The childminder has also addressed systems for monitoring children's development and assessment. She now has documentation in place to ensure assessment is robust. The childminder is able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the processes of assessment and how it benefits children in her care. She demonstrates how she would identify gaps in children's development and where she would signpost families to. The childminder is able to demonstrate how she would use regular observation to inform her assessment. This
