Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders understand how to work effectively with a variety of external partners to promote the experiences of all children, including disadvantaged children. For example, they consider the importance of partnership working with the local authority to support families to access funding to utilise at the holiday club. Leaders understand that a strategic approach to planning activities and trips can broaden children's experiences. They know, for example, that considering children's background experiences is important to plan opportunities for children to have new experiences. Leaders realise that such experiences have a positive impact on the wellbeing and happiness of all children.

Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders understand that working collaboratively with staff to identify professional development opportunities helps to continue to promote their experience. They recognise that providing regular training to staff, including to support children with special educational needs and/or disabilities gives staff the confidence to carry out their roles effectively. Leaders know that considering staff wellbeing is important to promote their enjoyment of working and create a positive work life balance for staff.
