Inspected under the social care common inspection framework
p.1
provider
The service was registered with Ofsted on 4 April 2024 to provide ring-fenced shared accommodation and single occupancy. The nominated individual is also the director. The registered service manager left in January 2025.
p.1
provider
At the time of this visit, the provider had 2 shared properties and could accommodate up to 10 children. Living in one shared house were 2 children, and a third child was admitted on the same day as this visit. The provider did not have any single-occupancy accommodation.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The purpose of this monitoring visit was to monitor compliance with the notice reissued following the monitoring visit on 2 June 2026, regarding the leadership and management of the supported accommodation service. The main concerns related to the provider’s use of single-occupancy accommodation and the admission of children not ready for supported accommodation. It was also to consider concerns raised about the quality of this provider’s staff recruitment practices.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The compliance notice regarding the leadership and management standard for supported accommodation has been met. The provider has taken the steps specified in the notice to improve the service. At the time the compliance notice was issued, the provider provided single-occupancy supported accommodation, which was not in line with its statement of purpose or conditions of registration. The child required care and intensive staff support. The provider has removed this address from the supported accommodation registration and is applying to register a children’s home. Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: Angel UK Care Supported Accommodation Service The supported accommodation service is now provided in line with the statement of purpose. Children admitted to the service are suitable for supported accommodation. The staffing levels are appropriately in line with the provision of supported

accommodation. The staff demonstrate a suitable understanding of the risks to children receiving support, and they promote children’s welfare and safety.
p.2
This monitoring visit
There has been no registered service manager in post for approximately 19 months.
p.2
This monitoring visit
The provider’s staff recruitment practices are not safe. Allowing people to start working with vulnerable children without the correct and thorough checks puts children at unnecessary risk. During this visit, only one out of 3 recently recruited staff members had been suitably vetted. Weaknesses in staff recruitment practices have been previously identified during Ofsted’s visits. As a result, a compliance notice has been issued to improve the quality of staff recruitment practices.
p.2
This monitoring visit
The requirements raised at the last full inspection that are not subject to the compliance notices are outside the scope of this visit. They will be reviewed at the next full inspection.
