Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: Vineyard Homes Limited OFSTED USE ONLY

p.1

Registered provider: Vineyard Homes Limited

p.1

Inspected under the social care common inspection framework

p.1

provider

The provider registered with Ofsted on 18 June 2024 to provide ring-fenced accommodation. The registered service manager registered on 16 December 2025.

p.1

provider

At the time of the monitoring visit, the provider had 11 properties offering supported accommodation for up to 33 children. On the day of this visit, there were 11 children being supported by the provider.

p.1

provider

This monitoring visit was announced on the day of the visit. The inspectors visited 4 premises.

p.1

This monitoring visit

Between 18 and 22 May 2026, Ofsted completed the providers second full inspection. Serious and widespread weaknesses were identified, resulting in a notice restricting the further accommodation of any children. Due to the shortfalls being ongoing, a notice of proposal to cancel was also issued.

p.1

This monitoring visit

There has been significant improvement since the last full inspection.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The leaders and managers have complied with the notice restricting the further accommodation of any children. The number of properties offering supported accommodation has been further reduced, and 7 children have moved on. As a result, the leaders and managers are better equipped to meet the support needs of children. The leaders and managers are helping affected staff to find alternative employment.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The quality of support for children is improving. The nominated individual has identified external support to help leaders and managers to upskill team leaders, Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: Vineyard Homes Limited OFSTED USE ONLY

staff practice and the quality of their engagement with children. The registered service manager has introduced reflective practice. Team leaders have received direct feedback about the quality of the supervision they offer to staff, and the feedback has helped to ensure that the guidance given to staff is focused directly on the individual needs of children.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The staff team has received additional, relevant training to improve the quality of practice. The team leaders' and staff's understanding of safeguarding and how to identify the risks that children might be faced with, for example when they are missing, has improved.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The staff are more responsive to the children's support needs. Their understanding of the need to increase their direct interaction and build in activities with children as part of relationship building has improved, for example supporting children with preparation and readiness for exams, attending appointments at health clinics or hospital, supporting immigration appointments and supporting children as they prepare for moving on to independence. Staff are now advocating for children more readily.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The quality of safeguarding training has developed. The registered service manager is raising staff's awareness to ensure that they can identify changes in the presentation of children, identify patterns in behaviour and respond when children have unexplained items. While staff have a better understanding of safeguarding and the risks that children are exposed to, one member of staff had limited knowledge of key areas such as county lines and exploitation.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The arrangements for children to seek help and guidance outside of usual working hours are better. Staffing arrangements provide greater continuity of support for children and help the staff to offer quality time to children.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The leaders and managers have introduced a case management system to track key and relevant information about the children's progress.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The notice of proposal to cancel this provider is lifted. The notice restricting the accommodation of further children is not reissued. Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: Vineyard Homes Limited OFSTED USE ONLY
