Leadership and governance Expected standard

Staff report high levels of wellbeing and feel valued in their roles. Staff appreciate the training and professional development opportunities on offer to them and understand the importance of this learning in developing their knowledge, skill and understanding. Leaders involve staff fully in planning activities for children. This fosters high levels of teamwork and cooperation, which are then role-modelled positively for the children in attendance. Leaders are reflective and ensure they promote this approach across the staff team. This helps to promote a clear vision for the setting. Leaders ensure they pay close attention to the needs of children with special educational needs and/or disabilities, as well as those facing challenges to their learning. Leaders ensure that funding provided to support holiday and food provision for children is used effectively and contributes to a positive and inclusive
