Inspection report for children's home - monitoring visit: 2787363 1 Registered provider: Still Adventures Limited

p.1

Inspected under the social care common inspection framework

p.1

Information about this children's home

This multi-build setting is owned and operated by a private provider. The setting operates across 3 homes, providing care for up to 3 children who may experience social and emotional difficulties.

p.1

Information about this children's home

The registered manager and responsible individual have been absent from their roles since July 2026. This inspection was supported by the company directors.

p.1

Information about this children's home

At the time of the inspection, one child was living in one home.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The home was inspected on 30 June, 1 and 2 July 2026 and was judged inadequate. As a result, a restriction of accommodation was served and compliance notices were issued under regulation 12, the protection of children standard, regulation 13, the leadership and management standard and regulation 25, fire protection.

p.1

This monitoring visit

An inspector returned on 15 July 2026 to gather additional evidence, following further concerns being raised. Serious and widespread failures were identified during this visit. As a result, Ofsted issued a notice of suspension on 16 July 2026, and 3 compliance notices were reissued.

p.1

This monitoring visit

A monitoring visit was completed on 23 July 2026 to monitor adherence with the suspension notice. The child was still living in the home at the time of this inspection.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The purpose of this visit was to monitor adherence with the suspension notice.

p.1

This monitoring visit

One child continued to live in the home despite the provider remaining subject to suspension and is therefore operating illegally. The provider maintains regular communication with the placing authority. However, the provider has not taken Inspection report for children's home - monitoring visit: 2787363 2 sufficient action to escalate the need for the child to move in order to comply with the suspension notice.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The child's bedroom continues to fall short of the standard expectation. Leaders have developed plans to address the identified shortfalls and have sought the child's views about how they would like their bedroom decorated. Contractors were in the home during the inspection to complete this work on the child's bedroom. However, this was completed. Therefore, the child's bedroom remains in poor condition.

p.2

This monitoring visit

When concerns arise regarding staff conduct that may impact on the safety and welfare of the child, leaders take prompt and appropriate action. They make timely referrals to the local authority designated officer, ensuring that concerns are managed through multi-agency safeguarding processes.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Staff have completed additional training in physical intervention to strengthen their responses to the child's individual needs. Staff report that this training has increased their confidence and understanding, enabling them to respond more effectively and use approaches tailored to the child's needs.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Staff report that they are supported by the current leadership team. Staff can identify managers they can approach for advice and guidance and have a clear understanding of the on-call arrangements. This ensures that management support is available whenever required.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The compliance notices and remaining statutory requirements were not reviewed at this visit and will be evaluated at the next inspection. Inspection report for children's home - monitoring visit: 2787363 3
