Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2787363 1 Registered provider: Still Adventures Ltd

p.1

Inspected under the social care common inspection framework

p.1

Information about this children’s home

This multi-build setting is owned and operated by a private provider. The setting operates across 3 homes, providing care for up to 3 children who may experience social and emotional difficulties.

p.1

Information about this children’s home

The registered manager and responsible individual have been absent from their roles since July 2026. This inspection was supported by the company directors.

p.1

Information about this children’s home

At the time of the inspection, one child was living in one of the homes.

p.1

This monitoring visit

This setting was inspected on 30 June, 1 and 2 July 2026 and was judged ‘inadequate’. As a result, a notice restricting accommodation was served, and compliance notices were issued under Regulation 12 (the protection of children standard), Regulation 13 (the leadership and management standard) and Regulation 25 (fire protection).

p.1

This monitoring visit

An inspector returned on 15 July 2026 to gather additional evidence as further concerns had been raised. Serious and widespread failures were identified. As a result, Ofsted issued a suspension notice on 16 July 2026, and 3 compliance notices were reissued.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The purpose of this visit was to monitor adherence to the suspension notice.

p.1

This monitoring visit

Following the last inspection, one child moved out of one home. This child remained in the home illegally for a period of 6 days. However, one child remains in one of the homes, and the provider continues to operate illegally. There are no established plans in place to support the child to move to a suitable alternative provision, and Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2787363 2 the provider has failed to escalate and advocate for this move to take place in a timely manner in line with the suspension notice.

p.1

This monitoring visit

The setting does not provide a nurturing or homely environment for the child. Leaders and managers report that repairs and redecorations are planned but have not yet taken place. The child’s bedroom requires attention, including addressing a heavily stained carpet, ripped wallpaper and marks on the walls. Furthermore, the child has not been provided with a suitable window covering, which was previously identified as a shortfall during a visit that was carried out to gather additional evidence. Leaders and managers have failed to address this shortfall in a timely manner. As a result, the child is not supported to maintain their privacy and dignity.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Since the last inspection, there has been a change in leadership and management. The registered manager and responsible individual are absent from their positions. In the interim, oversight of the child’s care is being provided by the company directors. However, the directors have not yet submitted their applications to Ofsted. Furthermore, there are significant gaps in the safer recruitment checks carried out for senior leaders who have operational oversight of the service and access to sensitive information.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Staff report feeling unsupported and highlight a lack of communication from leaders and managers. They also report not having contact details for the senior leadership team. As a result, staff do not have a clear line of direction should they need senior support, including in the event of an incident or emergency.

p.2

This monitoring visit

Staff are unclear about who they should report concerns to. One of the directors informed the inspectors they are taking on the role as the responsible individual and plans to submit their application to Ofsted. Staff were not aware of the current leadership and management arrangements in place.

p.2

This monitoring visit

The suspension notice remains in place. The compliance notices and remaining statutory requirements were not reviewed at this visit and will be evaluated at the next inspection. Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2787363 3
