When caring for early years children, the childminder intends to gather detailed information from parents and carers to develop a thorough understanding of each child's individual needs, interests and starting points. She actively engages in professional development to ensure her knowledge of child development, planning and delivering an appropriate curriculum and current early years guidance remains up to date.
