Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders demonstrate a secure understanding of their responsibility to meet the statutory requirements of the early years foundation stage. They have established organised systems to support the safe operation of the provision, including safeguarding procedures, safer recruitment, risk assessment and health and safety checks. A clear governance structure is in place through the charitable organisation, with defined roles and oversight arrangements.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders reflect on their provision and access support from local authority advisers to review and strengthen systems. They demonstrate awareness of the local context and explain how they are prepared to offer provision that is responsive to the needs of families, including those experiencing higher levels of deprivation. For example, leaders describe how they intend to provide enrichment opportunities, such as outings, alongside practical support for families through initiatives such as food provision. Leaders prioritise professional development. Staff access regular training, including safeguarding, first aid and food hygiene, and engage in termly supervision and meetings to identify and address gaps in knowledge. Leaders explain how this supports staff to maintain up-to-date knowledge and readiness to meet children's needs.

About this inspection
We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.
p.3
About this inspection
There were no early years children present at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas. This data was available to the inspector at the time of the inspection.
