Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders are incredibly passionate about the care they provide at the inclusive and welcoming after-school club. They have clear plans in place to celebrate their strengths as well as consistently evaluating what they can do next or adapt to make the club a fun and safe place for children to be. There is a clear leadership structure and, at all levels, managers are held to account to ensure that the club's philosophy is shared and implemented. Training for staff is of utmost importance. There are comprehensive inductions and ongoing training plans to ensure that staff have the skills and knowledge required to fulfil their roles. This is further supported as the club utilises the support from the local authority. This assists them in making action plans that have the most impact on staff and on children who attend. This, alongside the club's audits and observations from area managers, ensures that the club meets statutory requirements.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
Staff thoroughly enjoy their roles and have a passion and dedication to provide inclusive care for all children that attend. Parental and community engagement is a strength. Leaders know the local area well, ensuring that they cater to the needs of the families in the community. Staff give verbal feedback to parents and carers daily, about what children have been doing, what they have had to eat and discuss any plans for children with special educational needs and/or disabilities. Transitions into the club are well planned. Leaders ensure that parents and children know what to expect when they attend and who will be supporting them. Leaders work closely with the host school to ensure that the needs of all children can be met. For example, their effective communication ensures that all children are accounted for, that absences are followed up swiftly and that any safeguarding concerns are shared to ensure the wellbeing of all children and families.

About this inspection
We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.
p.3
About this inspection
There were no early years children present at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors evaluate and grade only leadership and governance, as there is no reliable evidence from other evaluation areas through which to assess the impact on children.
