Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 18 March 2026, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The provision was graded to be urgent improvement. The inspection report card sets out the actions the provider was required to take to meet the requirements.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 6 July 2026, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions and learning and development actions raised at their last inspection.

p.1

Summary of outcome

We suspended the provider's registration on 6 July 2026 because we believe children may be at risk of harm. Suspension allows time for the provider to take steps to reduce or eliminate the risk of harm to children. The provider has a right to appeal against a suspension. The provider may not provide childcare for which registration is required while the suspension is in place and may commit an offence if they do so. We also served a welfare requirements notice on 6 July 2026. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 30 July 2026, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions and/or learning and development actions raised at their last regulatory event. We found the provider had met some of the safeguarding and welfare actions but not others. We found that the provider had attended training to improve their knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and implemented new systems for record-keeping, particularly recording the days and times that children attend and the recording of accidents and incidents. However, we found that they had failed to meet the actions raised regarding risk assessment, safety of premises, toilets and intimate hygiene, indoor space requirements, and food and drink facilities. We have served another welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 31 July 2026, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at the last visit. We found the provider had reduced a number of risks within the premises, particularly in the kitchen, bathroom and lounge areas. She had also reflected on the environment and use of space and completed training to improve her understanding of the space requirements. However, not all potential risks to children had been identified and addressed, particularly in the kitchen. In addition, there was still insufficient suitable, clean space available for the safe preparation of food.

We have served another welfare requirements notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions below within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.3

Summary of outcome

On 7 August 2026, we carried out a regulatory visit. The focus of the visit was to check whether the provider had met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised at the last visit. We found that the provider had taken sufficient action to eliminate and reduce the identified risks of harm. The premises are now safe, suitable and organised, with effective risk assessment arrangements in place and food preparation areas maintained to an appropriate hygienic standard. The childminder has demonstrated a clear understanding of the concerns raised, reflected on the root causes, implemented robust measures to prevent recurrence, and engaged positively with support, training and ongoing monitoring.

p.3

Summary of outcome

On 10 August 2026, we lifted the suspension because the provider took appropriate action to deal with the matter that led to the suspension. We are satisfied that the identified risk of harm to children has been removed. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.3

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.4

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
