Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2870489 1 Registered provider: Enlightery Ltd
p.1
Inspected under the social care common inspection framework
p.1
Information about this children’s home
The home registered with Ofsted on 9 February 2026 and is run by a private organisation. It provides care for up to 2 children who experience social and emotional difficulties.
p.1
Information about this children’s home
There has been no registered manager in post since 11 March 2026.
p.1
Information about this children’s home
There were no children living in the home at the time of this inspection.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The purpose of this visit was to review a notice restricting accommodation that was served following the home’s first full inspection in April 2026, where the outcome was inadequate in all areas. At the time this restriction was imposed, one child was living in the home. This child has now moved out, and no other children have lived in the home during this period.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The home currently has no registered manager. Although the provider has identified a new manager, their recruitment has not yet been fully completed. The absence of a suitable registered manager means that concerns remain regarding the effectiveness of management arrangements in the home and the provision of support and leadership to staff.
p.1
This monitoring visit
There are currently 2 permanent members of staff, who have been redeployed to work in the provider’s other homes during this period. There are plans to involve the newly appointed manager in the recruitment of additional staff. However, there has not yet been any further progress in recruiting new staff to work in the home. Without sufficient permanent, suitably skilled and experienced staff, and an effective Inspection report for children’s home - monitoring visit: 2870489 2 contingency plan in the event of staff absence, there are limited means to provide safe, consistent and stable care for any children.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The provider has reviewed and strengthened its processes and policies to improve the level of oversight by leaders. While there has been some important progress in relation to these processes, concerns remain regarding staff sufficiency and the absence of a registered manager. Consequently, there is not yet sufficient assurance that the home can operate effectively, provide strong leadership and ensure that any children living there would receive stable and effective care.
p.2
This monitoring visit
Following this visit, Ofsted imposed a further period of restriction to enable the provider to stabilise the management and staffing of the home. The requirements raised at the last inspection were either not fully tested during this visit or had not been met and have therefore been restated.
