p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders, including those responsible for governance and oversight, maintain procedures to review the quality of provision and ensure statutory requirements are met. Leaders explain that shadowing during the induction period enables staff to observe effective interactions, behaviour strategies and how to extend learning through play. Guidance is also provided on supporting and including those children with special educational needs and/or disabilities.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders understand what their setting does well and where it must improve. They recognise that while some training for staff is provided, professional development is a continued focus to ensure quality and to meet the needs of the setting or individual staff members.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
Staff are well supported to be able to deliver the best care and activities for children possible. They are enthusiastic in their roles, and children clearly enjoy spending time with them. Interactions are positive, and children learn new skills and confidence as they play. They have autonomy in their choices, and accept gentle reminders from staff for how to be safe and consider others in their games.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders have a good relationship with the host school and share important information to support children's care and wellbeing. This close relationship means that leaders can quickly evaluate any required changes at the club, arising from their day at school, and ensure that the children's experiences are always safe and positive.

About this inspection
The inspector spoke with the manager and the children that attend, during the inspection.
p.3
About this inspection
We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.
p.3
About this inspection
There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment, and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas. This data was available to the inspector at the time of the inspection.
p.3
