Childminder
Unique reference number (URN): EY545834 Registered with Ofsted: 19/04/2017 Registers: EYR, CCR, VCR
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
Since the last inspection, the childminder has worked hard to make improvements. She now keeps accurate and up-to-date registers and ensures that records are easily accessible. She has updated mealtime routines to ensure they are calm and organised. She has also introduced consistent hygiene practices and regularly reflects on her practice to make sure children's individual needs are met. She has developed a written safeguarding policy and understands how to keep children safe while they are in her care. She also completes training and understands how learning from training helps her improve care and support for children.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
The childminder knows how to use children's interests to support their engagement. She understands how her decisions can help children, especially those with special educational needs and/or disabilities, or with other barriers to learning. She knows how to adapt routines and interactions to make sure every child feels safe, supported, and included. The childminder knows why it is important to manage children's behaviour in a consistent and appropriate way. She knows how to use visual prompts, such as posters, and speaks with children about their feelings, including how to manage anger and understand the consequences of their words and actions on others. She demonstrates an understanding of the importance of addressing poor behaviour calmly and working closely with parents to ensure consistent expectations. She understands that this collaboration helps children feel secure, develop confidence, and make progress.

This data was available to the inspector at the time of the inspection.
p.3
Age range of children at the time of inspection
We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.
p.3
Age range of children at the time of inspection
There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment, and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas.
