provider
This supported accommodation service is operated by a private provider in North West England. The provider can accommodate up to 2 children in 2 shared or group- living houses not limited to accommodating looked-after children and care leavers. At the time of the monitoring visit, one looked-after child, aged 17, was being accommodated.

provider
The provider has been registered with Ofsted since 2 October 2024. The registered service manager has been in post since the service was registered. They also hold other responsibilities, which include being the nominated individual and a director.
p.1
This monitoring visit
Ofsted conducted this monitoring visit following information from the provider that the child living in one of their homes had been made subject to a deprivation of liberty order (DoL order). This means that the provider is not operating in line with their statement of purpose for supported accommodation. The inspector held discussions with the nominated individual, the registered manager. They also visited 2 premises.
p.1
This monitoring visit
The provider had their first inspection in October 2025, which identified that leaders and managers had accommodated children outside the scope of the regulations. This meant that some children needed a high level of staff care over a considerable period. The children’s needs exceeded those which supported accommodation could meet. Following this inspection, the provider has submitted their application to be registered as a children’s home. Inspection report for supported accommodation provider - monitoring visit: Lagom Residential Care Limited On 4 March 2026, the registered service manager notified Ofsted of a serious incident involving a child. As required, a safeguarding notification was submitted to Ofsted. Following this incident, the placing local authority sought a DoL order on 5 March 2026, and for the child to remain at the home. Staff are clear about the child’s plan, what to do if risks increase for the child and how to keep them safe. Staff have

clearly followed the child’s care plan and used their behaviour management training. They have been able to de-escalate incidents in a timely manner without having to restrict the child.
p.2
This monitoring visit
The provider and the regulator recently had a meeting to clarify the plans for the child. However, the registered service manager was unable to confirm when the child would move into suitable accommodation. Staff are now working alongside the local authority to identify a more suitable placement in adult social care which can best meet the child’s needs.
