Leadership and governance Expected standard

The childminder has a clear and ambitious vision for her setting. She explains how she plans to work with parents and carers from the outset. Through discussion, the childminder outlines how she will use this information to help her understand children's developmental stages, identifying any barriers to learning. She explains how she will help parents to understand her expectations of children's attendance in readiness for school.

The childminder demonstrates a secure understanding of how she would plan a range of activities across the curriculum, using observations and children's next steps to support their progress. She understands how to implement adaptations to her curriculum to support children's individual needs. The childminder knows the importance of close collaboration with external professionals, such as speech and language therapists. She understands the importance of promoting healthy lifestyles for children. p.3

0 to 0

We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.

p.3

0 to 0

There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment, and any relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas.
