Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders demonstrate a secure understanding of their statutory responsibilities and have established appropriate systems and procedures to ensure the provision continues to meet the safeguarding and welfare requirements of the early years foundation stage. Robust arrangements are in place for safeguarding, safer recruitment, record-keeping and the regular review of policies and procedures. All staff hold current paediatric first-aid qualifications, and leaders ensure mandatory training remains up to date, so staff are prepared to respond appropriately in an emergency.
p.1
Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders gather detailed information about children's individual health, medical, dietary and care needs before they attend. This would enable staff to plan appropriate support and make any necessary adaptations should younger children enrol. Leaders demonstrate a secure understanding of statutory notification requirements and explain confidently how the safeguarding and welfare requirements of the early years foundation stage would be implemented from the point of admission.
p.1

p.3
About this inspection
We carried out this inspection under sections 49 and 50 of the Childcare Act 2006 on the quality and standards of provision that is registered on the Early Years Register. The registered person must ensure that this provision complies with the statutory framework for children's learning, development and care, known as the early years foundation stage.
p.3
About this inspection
There were no early years children present and/or on roll at the time of this inspection. The findings in this report are based on evidence gathered from discussions with leaders and an inspection of the premises, equipment and relevant documentation. When there are no early years children present, inspectors only evaluate and grade leadership and governance as there is no reliable evidence on which to assess the impact on children of other evaluation areas. This data was available to the inspector at the time of the inspection.
