Leadership and governance Expected standard
Leaders are passionate and enthusiastic about the work they do. They demonstrate a clear and effective approach to management. Staff workload and wellbeing are managed carefully, with leaders implementing supportive systems and recognising achievements. These measures contribute to a positive and motivated staff team. Leaders make sure staff access the training they need to be confident in their role. This includes safeguarding training so that knowledge and understanding is always up to date. Leaders encourage staff to take part in ongoing training opportunities to build their skills even further. This helps to improve the quality of care and experiences for every child attending the setting.

Leaders listen to children's views and incorporate their interests into planning and creating an engaging environment.
