Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at

p.1

Summary of outcome

www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 23 April 2026, the provider notified us about an incident in relation to staffing arrangements and risk assessments. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 21 May 2026, we carried out a regulatory visit. During this visit, we found that the provider had failed to ensure that robust risk assessments were in place and embedded, and staffing arrangements were not meeting the needs of all children at that time. However, they have taken swift and appropriate action to improve these processes and meet the requirements. The provider has put measures in place, such as rearranging the set-up of the provision, placing alarms on all doors, reviewing and improving risk assessments, making adjustments to doors, such as moving the "exit" button out of children's reach and updated staff training. Ofsted are satisfied that the provider fully understands their responsibility to provide an environment for children where staffing arrangements consistently meet all children's needs and that robust risk assessments are understood and adhered to by all staff.

p.1

Summary of outcome

In addition, we found that the provider did not have appropriate systems in place to ensure the suitability of staff. While on the visit, we identified that sufficient vetting procedures were not in place to verify the suitability of every person or applicant working with children. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this. Action needed by 30 June 2026

p.1

Summary of outcome

ensure there are robust vetting procedures implemented to check and verify the suitability of all staff working with children.

p.2

Summary of outcome

On 1st July 2026, we reviewed information that we had received from the provider. We found that appropriate action had been taken. Leaders have ensured that there are clear systems in place and a designated person to carry out vetting checks. Staff are now required to complete annual suitability declarations, alongside annual DBS update checks. In addition to this, the committee have implemented using self-reflection tools to assess the effectiveness of their safer recruitment.

p.2

Summary of outcome

The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
