Summary of outcome

All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the 'Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage', which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundation-stage-framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 14 May 2026, we received concerns that the provider was not meeting requirements relating to safeguarding policies and procedures, safety and suitability of premises, environment and equipment and staff: child ratios. On 20 April 2026, the provider notified us about matters relating to the same requirements. The notification means that the provider met their legal responsibility as set out in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage to notify Ofsted of a significant event where a child was unsupervised in the outdoor play area.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 18 May 2026, we carried out a regulatory visit. We found the provider was not meeting some of the requirements. We have issued action for the provider to take within the timescales set out. The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.

p.1

Summary of outcome

• use risk assessment effectively to ensure children's safety and well-being when playing outside.

p.1

Summary of outcome

On 12 June 2026 the provider responded to the actions set. We found that the provider had fully reviewed the provision for outdoor play, resulting in an increased management oversight of outdoor play. They have strengthened staff deployment to ensure children are always within sight and hearing and have implemented a robust risk assessment. These steps help to ensure children's safety and wellbeing when playing outside. We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised. The provider is still registered with Ofsted.

p.1

Publication of compliance action

We aim to ensure that the welfare of children and young people is protected in the services we regulate. The Childcare Act 2006 and accompanying regulations set out our responsibilities to regulate childminders and childcare providers. This includes the enforcement powers we have in relation to those registered providers who do not comply with the requirements for registration.

p.2

Publication of compliance action

We publish details of any actions we take, or the childminder or childcare provider takes to bring about compliance with requirements on our website for a period of five years.
