Summary of outcome
All early years providers must meet the legal requirements in the Statutory framework for the early years foundation stage, which you can find at www.gov.uk/government/publications/early-years-foundationstage- framework--2. If we find that a provider is not meeting the requirements, we can take action to ensure they put matters right.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 3 March 2026, we carried out an inspection and found the provider was not meeting some of these requirements. The provision was graded to be urgent improvement. The inspection report card sets out the actions the provider was required to take to meet the requirements.
p.1
Summary of outcome
On 8 May 2026, we found the provider had met some of the safeguarding and welfare actions but not others.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The childminder now has a robust and safer recruitment process that ensures all adults working with children, are suitable. This promotes children's safety and emotional security. She uses parents information effectively to meet each child's individual needs. This helps children feel understood, settled and well supported in their development.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The childminder has strengthened the supervision arrangements for her assistants, ensuring they are well supported in their role. This means children benefit from more consistent practise and better-quality interaction.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The childminder works closely with other professionals and shows an improved understanding of how to use external agencies to support children who face barriers to learning. This enables children who need additional help to receive timely support, reducing delays in their progress.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The childminder has established effective systems for reporting accidents and injuries and is now aware of the requirement to notify parents on the same day or as soon as reasonably practical. This ensures children's health needs are responded to quickly and parents remain fully informed about their child's well-being.
p.1
Summary of outcome
The childminder has improved her behaviour management strategies. She now implements consistent approaches, including planning engaging activities to maintain children's interest and helping children understand and manage their emotions. As a result, children experience a calmer environment, learn to regulate their feelings and develop positive social skills.
p.1
Summary of outcome
However, we found that the childminder's knowledge of safeguarding policies and procedures remains incomplete. This gap in understanding does not keep children safe if concerns are not recognised or responded to appropriately. As a result, we have issued another welfare requirement notice. This is a legal notice that requires the provider to take the actions listed below with a specific timescale.
p.2
Summary of outcome
The provider will be able to give parents further information about this.
p.2
Summary of outcome
n ensure an effective safeguarding policy and procedure in line with the requirements of the relevant Local Safeguarding Partners (LSP's), including Prevent Duty guidance is in place and understood by all staff.
p.2
Summary of outcome
n provide support, advice, and guidance to any assistants on an ongoing basis, and on any specific safeguarding issue as required to make sure any assistants understand the setting's safeguarding policies and procedures and have up to date knowledge of safeguarding issues.
p.2
Summary of outcome
On 5 June 2026, the provider responded to the actions set. We found that the provider had improved their knowledge and understanding of child protection procedures. In addition, she demonstrates that assistants now have a secure knowledge and understanding of safeguarding through additional safeguarding training.
p.2
Summary of outcome
We are satisfied the provider has met the safeguarding and welfare actions raised.
p.2
Summary of outcome
The provider is still registered with Ofsted.
